In Utrecht in 1683, Joannes Ribbius published a copy of the Sanson atlas, L'Afrique en plusieurs cartes nouvelles, et exactes..., with a new map of Africa. In the same year in Amsterdam, François Halma published an atlas with the title: L'Europe..., containing maps of all regions of the world including this same map.  This map is a close copy of the Nicolas Sanson 1656 map of Africa. The map is most easily distinquished from the 1656 Sanson map by the imprint of Antoine de Winter (ca. 1652/3 - 1707) as the engraver of the map of Africa ('A d'Winter schu:', at the bottom right corner of the map), replacing the imprint for the Sanson engraver, Peyrounin (A. Peyrounin sculp., at the bottom right corner of the map.  This map is in its third state, with a new title in Dutch for an edition of Algemeene Weereldbeschryving nae de recht verdeeling, published by Halma in 1705.  This map only appeared in that one edition.
