International Antiquarian Mapsellers Association (IAMA).
Information That We Collect
We collect information that you decide to submit to
us through emails, through our secure server ordering form, and through
other means of communication: telephone calls, faxes, letters, and
in-person interactions.
This information may include your name, mailing addresses, email
addresses, telephone numbers, map purchases, map interests, and/or map
needs. For credit card transactions, we also collect credit card
numbers and expiration dates. We only use your credit card details to
process map orders that you place with us.
All
information you provide to us is held in confidence by Hemispheres Antique Maps &
Prints,
and will NOT
be shared with other parties, other than through the processing of a
credit card transaction with our bank.
This information is securely kept from the public and is only seen by
the two principals in
Hemispheres Antique Maps &
Prints,
Richard & Penelope Betz.
How
We Use Information
That We Collect
On occasion, we will notify you, usually via email, if we
have a map that might interest you, based on your
correspondence with us. As we are especially sensitive to unwanted
emails and as we do not send "mass-marketing emails", we urge you to
regularly check our web site for new listings that we post throughout
the year.
We do mail an occasional print catalog to clients who may wish to receive this information, often toward the end of each year.
Tracking Software
and Cookies
Our web site does not use tracking
software and we do not enable "cookies" on our web site.
Secure Certicate for on-line
transactions
Hemispheres Antique Maps uses a secure certificate
for on-line credit card transactions that is
provided by our website host,
Hostway. Please
note that your internet browser may provide an error message that states
"www.betzmaps.com uses an invalid security certificate; *.securedata.net."
or "(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)". We are using a secure
server provided by Hostway, our website provider, at
betzmaps.securedata.net. It is still secure.
